Police searching for suspect involved in Little Rock bank robbery

Authorities are investigating after a bank was robbed in downtown Little Rock on Monday.

Police say the robbery occurred at the US Bank located in the 400 block of W Capitol Ave around 4:00 p.m.

When officers arrived on scene, they spoke with an employee who said the suspect entered the bank, walked up to her teller station, pulled out a plastic bag, and threw it on the counter demanding the employee fill it money.

The employee told police the suspect never showed or implied that they had a weapon.

According to the report, after receiving an unknown amount of money, the suspect fled out the east door of the bank on foot and headed north on Spring Street.

The suspect is described as a heavy black male in his mid 50's, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 9 inches, weighing 220 pounds, bald or balding, brown eyes, and a goatee. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a white polo shirt, camo shorts, white or cream sneakers, and a hat with brown and orange writing.

Police circulated the area, however, they were unsuccessful in locating the suspect.
