Two men accused of several shootings in Hope turn themselves in

The Hope Police Department reports Patrick Powell and Devonte Barker have turned themselves in to police.

ORIGINAL STORY (3/17):

The Hope Police Department is searching for two men wanted in connection with several shootings in Hope.

Patrick Powell, 21, and Devonte Barker, 25, both face charges of aggravated assault for shootings on Wednesday.

Police received a number of calls about shots fired near Oak and Walker Streets, at 9 p.m.

While officers were responding to the scene, they were notified about shootings at other locations. At least four residents reported bullets going in to their home.

One person, Joseph Harris, had also been shot through both legs, according to police. He was taken to Wadley Regional Medical Center, where officers found him.
