Police: Man robbed while stopped at Little Rock intersection
LITTLE ROCK (KATV) —
Authorities are investigating after a man was robbed at a Little Rock intersection early Thursday morning.
According to the police report, the victim, 51-year-old Craig Howen of Jacksonville, was leaving midtown just before 5 a.m. when he pulled up to an unknown intersection in his 2017 Kia Sorento. As Howen’s vehicle came to a stop, he said an unknown black male got into the front passenger seat and pointed a handgun at his head.
Howen told LRPD he jumped out of his vehicle, however, the man began chasing him around the car and tackled him, causing him to hit his head on the ground.
Officers reported that Howen did have a bleeding abrasion on the back of his head when they arrived on scene.
Howen told police that when the man tackled him he also took his wallet and cellphone, in addition to a couple other items in his back pocket. The man then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
