Little Rock (KATV) — On Wednesday, Pulaski County dealt with heavy rainfall.
As of 1 p.m., the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office says the flooded or barricaded roadways included: Marche Road / Highway 365 North, Hillard Road, Marche Road / Marche Lateral Road, Banaszak Road, Szymanski Road, Clinton Road, Jacksonville Cato Road / Ison Road (inside city of Sherwood), Peters Road / Brasco Road, Jim Hall Road, Davis Ranch Road, Bethel Cutoff, Grace Street, Joan Street, Pipeline Drive / Dorsey Road, Fortson Road / Batesville Pike, West Justice Road / Parnell Road, Trammel Road / Highway 161, Rixie Road / Walkers Drive, Highway 70 / Walkers Corner Road, East 46th / Roundtop Drive, Wampoo Road / Highway 161, Sparks Road / Lawson Road, Pinnacle Valley Road / County Farm Road, Kanis Road / Stewart Road, Beaver Creek Road, Col. Glenn / Lockert Lane, Frazier Pike / West Damsite Road, and German Road.
The Pulaski County Special School District dismissed Sylvan Hills Freshman Campus and Cato Elementary School at noon due to flooding in the area. At 12:30 p.m., buses picked up students from Maumelle middle and high schools who live in a flooded area of Marche and Sylvan Hills middle and high school students who live in the flooded area of Jacksonville cut-off.
Earlier Wednesday morning, 17 students were rescued from a school bus after the driver drove off the roadway near Marche Rd. due and became stuck in water, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office.
"Our bus was making a right turn and it was very slippery. She wasn't able to see all of the water," said Deborah Roush, spokesperson for the Pulaski County Special School District.
No one was hurt in Wednesday's flooding.
