Realtor: Alexander's housing market is booming
ALEXANDER (KATV) —
Following Wednesday’s report of Metroplan's demographic review and the growth or lack of for some cities in central Arkansas, KATV is taking a deeper look into Alexander's housing market.
Broker and co-owner of Baxley-Penfield-Moudy Realtors, Tom Baxley, said its housing market is booming despite the report showing that Alexander is losing residents.
Baxley added, that you have to look at the Alexander area and it's mailing address which will show obvious growth.
As seen on Highway 111, dozens of new homes have been built and continue to be built. Many have either already moved in or homes have just sold.
"When I think of Alexander, I think of very strong consistent growth, especially over the last few years because I think of all of that in terms of Alexander mailing address,” said Baxley.
Baxley told KATV to keep in mind that Shannon Hills along with communities all the way up to Lake Norrell use an Alexander mailing address.
"I see the Alexander market as a very strong growth market within that as far as the mailing address, I see the Shannon Hills market and the development going there,” he said. "Sometimes statistics don't take in the account of that mailing area."
