Kids at Episcopal Collegiate School in Little Rock got a surprise visitor at an assembly Wednesday.

"Dan D" the dandelion crayon is being retired and is touring the country to say goodbye.

When Crayola made the retirement announcement, the company asked where "Dan D" should visit on its goodbye tour by using the hashtag #CelebrateDandelion.

The tour has included stops all across North America like San Francisco and Canada.

Episcopal art teacher Jessica McSpadden and her students submitted more than 20 pictures of where the crayon should visit in Arkansas, including the Capitol building, the River Market, and Whole Hog Cafe.

Crayola was so impressed they sent "Dan D" on his final visit to the school, surprising the first through fifth graders with plenty of free crayons.
