Saline County Sheriff's Office arrests two people on animal cruelty charges
ALEXANDER, Ark. (KATV) —
Saline County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) deputies responded to a report of animal cruelty at the 3600 block of Centrack Circle in Alexander on Sunday.
Upon arrival, they met with Bryant Police Department officers and made contact with the suspects, who were shown in Facebook videos injuring a cat and dog.
After speaking with the suspects, Marlin Sims, 18, and 31-year-old Katherine Farmer, both of Alexander, deputies discovered that the pair were the people who had injured the animals in the video.
Both suspects face unclassified misdemeanors of cruelty to animals charges.
The deputies seized a dog and two cats from the home.
Then the animals were placed in a local animal care facility.
