An Arkansas man was injured as shots were fired Sunday night following a fight outside a Jefferson County convenience store, and authorities say they are still searching for the suspect.

The sheriff's office tells KATV investigators were dispatched at 8:50 p.m. to the parking lot of H&R Mart 1 near Edline and E. 3rd streets in Altheimer.

According to investigators, witnesses say there was a large fight that led to Damon Gaddy, 36, brandishing a weapon.

Authorities say Gaddy allegedly fired his gun into the air twice but then shot again, this time hitting 44-year-old Leonard Robinson at least three times.

Robinson went to his vehicle and drove away from the scene, but paramedics intercepted him at Highway 79 just outside of the town. They say Robinson was trying to drive himself to the Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

The sheriff's office says Robinson's injuries were not life-threatening and he is in stable condition.

The accused shooter is still at-large after he managed to flee the scene before deputies arrived.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
