Suspects arrested after robbery at Pine Bluff gas station

Two suspects are behind bars in connection with an armed robbery at a Pine Bluff gas station Wednesday morning.

Pine Bluff police say Deborah Watson, 25, and Patricia Beene,23, were taken into custody shortly after the incident.

The robbery occurred just after 10 a.m. at the Shell Food Mart in the 6700 block of Sulphur Springs Road.

As officers were responding to the scene, the suspect vehicle was identified as a red Chevrolet Pick-up.

According to the report, the vehicle was spotted turning north onto Oakwood Road.

Officer Jim Miller said he then initiated a traffic stop for the suspects vehicle.

Witnesses' confirmed both the truck and suspects were involved in the robbery.

Police say the cash stolen from the gas station and the BB gun that is believed to have been the weapon used in the robbery were found.

Watson and Beene are being held in the Jefferson County Jail on Aggravated robbery charges. Watson is also being held on a outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
