LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — This year's Walmart Associates Celebration, held on Friday at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville, featured some A-list celebrities.
The event was hosted by Kevin Hart and kicked off by Shania Twain's performance of her song "Man! I Feel Like a Woman," our content partner 40/29 News reported.
Other performers included John Legend, Snoop Dogg, and Pitbull.
Also taking the stage were Marvel movie stars Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans, promoting a workout kit and a dog food brand, respectively.
The Walmart Associates Celebration is an annual event held by Walmart celebrating and thanking Walmart associates for their work.
The celebration usually features a celebrity host and musical performances, as well as speeches from company executives.
Past hosts have included Will Smith, Justin Timberlake, Hugh Jackman, Reese Witherspoon, and Jamie Foxx, among others.
Leading up to the Associates Celebration on Friday were other events and performances. Wang Chung, Salt-N-Pepa, and Billy Idol performed at the Shareholders Concert on Wednesday.
The shareholders meeting itself was held on Wednesday as well, during which shareholders made proposals on the risks of doing business with China, human rights, executive compensation, racial equality, and workplace safety and violence. Walmart rejected the aforementioned proposals in its proxy statement.
