LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — The University of Central Arkansas was evacuated Wednesday afternoon after a bomb threat was made to the campus, the university said.
According to their statement, the Integrated Health Sciences, Math and Computer Science, and Doyne Health Sciences buildings were evacuated after receiving the threat.
Bruce Street from the intersection of Donaghey Street to Western Avenue in Conway were also closed to traffic, the college said.
"The University of Central Arkansas has confirmed that no bombs were found in either of the three building evacuated earlier today after a bomb threat was made by telephone," UCA said in an updated statement around 4:35 p.m. "UCA Police have issued an all-clear alert."
UCA Police and other local authorities will continue to investigate this incident, the statement said.
"Nothing is more important than the safety and security of our campus," UCA said. "We thank you for your time and patience as we investigate this situation. We will update campus as more information is available."
Earlier this month, Shorter College in North Little Rock was evacuated after a bomb was reported to be on their campus. No explosive devices were found.
