LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — A Pine Bluff resident has won more than half a million dollars on Jackpocket, the app used to purchase lottery through the Arkansas Scholarship lottery.
According to lottery officials, this is the biggest Natural State Jackpot win to date by a player in the state of Arkansas.
Kashema Marks is the winner of the Natural State Jackpot and could not believe the notification she received from the app that said "You won big".
She ordered $45 dollars worth of tickets for the Saturday drawing and secured her win from a Quick Pick ticket. The winning numbers for that night’s drawing were 12, 21, 26, 29, and 34.
The previous record jackpot of $430,000 was hit three years ago.
A press release said she called her mother and sister on a three-way call and said "Oh, they didn't believe it. They said, 'No you didn’t. No, you didn't' and then they started hollering."
Marks also told lottery officials she plans to get another car, buy a house, and help her family with her winnings. She also said she plans to continue working.
Lottery officials said including marks' win, Arkansas lottery players have won over $2.3 million to date on the app.
