'Hateful, Dangerous': Event warning about consequences of gender transitions dropped

NEW YORK, NY - OCTOBER 24: L.G.B.T. activists and their supporters rally in support of transgender people on the steps of New York City Hall, October 24, 2018 in New York City. The group gathered to speak out against the Trump administration's stance toward transgender people. A panel discussion consisting of both transgender and non-transgender speakers who regularly challenge the normalization of transgenderism, was removed from the event management and ticketing platform Eventbrite, according to the panel's organizers.

The event titled "Stolen Innocence" was hosted by the parents' rights group Parents on Patrol. The panel's speakers included -- among others -- two individuals, one of whom is trans and another who has gained notoriety for her de-transition story that followed years of puberty blockers and an eventual irreversible double mastectomy.

Parents on Patrol shared screenshots from the alleged Eventbrite notice their "Stolen Innocence" listing received, which indicated the event had been "unpublished" from the platform for violating Eventbrite's guidelines against "Hateful, Dangerous, or Violent Content and Events."

"We have determined that your event is not permitted on the Eventbrite platform as it violates our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service," the screenshot of Eventbrite's notice to the group reads. "As a result, your event has been unpublished."

"The intent of the panel was to bring together people from different backgrounds who all had one common goal, to protect children," Parents on Patrol's Alexandra Schweitzer said in a statement to the Post Millennial. "The mere fact we are being canceled for unfounded reasons means that we have struck a chord in the grooming community, and we look forward to hosting more of these important, peaceful, educational events."

Last month, a similar event was removed by Eventbrite as well, according to conservative political commentator Robby Starbuck.

The event, titled "Teens Against Gender Mutilation Rally," was slated to be held in Tennessee, just outside of Nashville.

Starbuck similarly shared screenshots of the notice Eventbrite sent to the rally's organizers. According to the alleged notice, the rally, hosted by a chapter of conservative nonprofit Turning Point USA, was once again "unpublished" for apparently violating the same "Hateful" event guidelines from Eventbrite.

Starbuck is a frequent speaker at Turning Point's events, and was endorsed by the organization's founder Charlie Kirk when he ran for Congress recently.

The National Desk (TND) reached out to Eventbrite for comment, and to inquire how the events violated its guidelines, but did not receive a response. If one is obtained this story will be updated.
