Members of the Border Patrol allege that around 2,200-2,500 migrants cross the U.S.-Mexico border near Eagle Pass, Texas Sunday night.

The numbers continue to rise as officials from the border in Eagle Pass, and the Texas Department of Public Safety, prepare for ever increasing numbers.

Those two-thousand some migrants who arrived Sunday may be followed by thousands more as officials from Panama tell Sinclair's San Antonion stations that they are seeing on average 5,000 migrants from South America pass through the country each day.

Those officials claim approximately 5,400 migrants entered Panama through the Darien Jungle and are headed up through the country and possibly up to the U.S.

Texas State Representative Eddie Morales said he believes the migrants part of the recent surge are arriving by train.

“It’s obviously a security issue. We have concerns over their safety and we need to address this in the most expeditious manner," he said.
