Rattlesnake Ridge Natural Area
LITTLE ROCK (KATV) —
It's the newest addition to Arkansas' system of natural areas - Rattlesnake Ridge Natural Area.
Located west of Pinnacle Mountain state Park, the area will protect several rare plant and animal species and also offers hiking, mountain biking and climbing.
It's known to be home to the Southeastern Bat, Western Diamondback Rattlesnake and the western desert fern Wright's Cliffbrake, all of which are species of state conservation concern.
The entrance is located in the 9500 block of Barrett Rd.
