Wanted Wednesday: Jefferson Co. Sheriff's Office
JEFFERSON COUNTY (KATV) —
A convicted felon has been accidentally released from a county jail, despite the Arkansas Department of Correction requesting they hold him for transfer. Now, authorities are hoping the public can locate the criminal.
It was last December when 33-year-old Tremain Higgins was picked up by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office on new charges.
While he was supposed to be held for violating his parole, he was accidentally released from the county jail.
Higgins was last seen, freely walking out of the Jefferson County Jail on March 9th and he hasn't been seen since.
Higgins was arrested for a felony probable cause related to a charge of first-degree terroristic threatening and aggravated assault, a bond was issued for $50,000 at the time.
After his arrest, the ADC issued a warrant, because he was an absconder and now he's violated parole, no bond was granted.
If you know Higgins' whereabouts, you're urged to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, you can remain anonymous (870) 541-5496.
