Separate shootings in Little Rock Monday leave 2 injured

Separate shootings in Little Rock Monday left two people injured, police reported.

The first shooting happened near 17th and Abigail around 1 p.m., according to police. A man was reportedly shot in the leg.

Police said the victim's injuries were non-life-threatening.

There was no information about a suspect.

Authorities said the second shooting happened in the 2800 block of Center Street. A victim in that shooting also reportedly suffered a non-life-threatening injury.

Since Friday, a total of 12 people were shot in Little Rock. In a press conference,Assistant Chief Wayne Bewley said detectives were presently out working to find answers to all weekend shootings and it was a priority to create safety for residents of Little Rock.
