LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) — Anthony Lucas, the former Razorback on the receiving end of one of the most famous touchdowns in program history, has been named Pulaski Academy's new football coach, according to a letter sent to school parents.
He replaces Kevin Kelley, the nine-time state champion that garnered national attention for his innovative, if unorthodox methods. Kelley left to coach Presbyterian College, an FCS program in South Carolina.
Lucas, known for his upbeat optimism, is a recent Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame inductee. He has coached the Bruins' wide receivers and taught physical education classes at PA since 2012.
Jason Wyatt, who served as the Bruins' co-defensive coordinator, was named athletics director at the school.
Madison Taylor was promoted to assistant head coach and defensive coordinator, according to the letter.
