Arkansas running back Devwah Whaley will play Saturday vs. Texas A&M, Bret Bielema said Thursday night on his radio show.

Bielema confirmed a "brief" disagreement occurred between Whaley and teammate Brandon Martin, an incident KATV Sports Director Steve Sullivan reported Thursday on Channel 7 News at 6. Bielema said Whaley sustained "a minor injury."

"If I had to tell you how many times I get 21-year-old men that disagree," Bielema said.

"And what I love about today's world, remember when we had six guys or 10 guys in an elevator and it blew into 10 firetrucks outside? I'm not saying it's the same situation, but I got to my phone and I'm like, what in the world is going on?"

Earlier in the day, Devwah Whaley posted the following to Twitter: "I appreciate everyone's concerns. I'm set to travel with my teammates and take on Texas A&M in my home state."

"Devwah is excited because he's going back to his home state," Bielema said.

Brandon Martin will not travel to Texas, though Bielema said that was decided before this incident occurred. The wide receiver who transferred from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is battling a hamstring injury.

Through two games, Whaley has 23 attempts for 92 yards and a touchdown. He rushed for 602 yards and three touchdowns as a freshman last season.

"On the Air with Bret Bielema" airs locally on 103.7 The Buzz.
