Hogs wide receiver La'Michael Pettway to transfer

The University of Arkansas' top wide receiver from last season is transferring to another school.

La'Michael Pettway announced Tuesday that he won't play for the Hogs his senior season. Pettway, a Nashville, Ark., native, tweeted that he'll finish his bachelor's degree at the university next year and then seek to play as a graduate student at another school.

"Nothing personal," Pettway tweeted, "I just have to do what's best for my family and I."

Pettway's 499 receiving yards led the Hogs in an offense that struggled most of the season under first-year coach Chad Morris. Pettway caught four touchdowns.

His departure isn't the only skill-position shakeup this offseason. Southern Methodist University quarterback Ben Hicks, a graduate student, announced Monday that he's transferring to Arkansas. Days earlier, reports surfaced that starting quarterback Ty Storey was looking to transfer.

Sophomore quarterback Cole Kelley announced earlier this month that he was transferring from Arkansas to Southeastern Louisiana University.
