Arkansas Razorbacks defensive back Kevin Richardson II will return to the Razorbacks in 2018. He has been granted a sixth year of NCAA eligibility, according to his Twitter account.

"Finally official man, ready to put that Razorback logo on for one more year! Y’all in for something special this year Hog fans," Richardson wrote.

The Jacksonville, Ark. native was a team captain. He led Arkansas in interceptions (3) last season, playing in every game.

He was granted the extra year of eligibility thanks to a new NCAA rule that affects players who redshirted their first season then missed a second season due to injury. Richardson missed the 2016 season with a torn pectoral muscle.
