LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Arkansas State University announced Wednesday that it's parting ways with women's basketball coach Brian Boyer.
The university said it will not renew Boyer's contract for the 2019-20 season. Boyer had been coach since 1999, leading the team to three Sun Belt Conference championships and seven appearances in the Women's National Invitation Tournament.
A national search for a new head coach is underway, the university said in a news release.
In the release, Director of Athletics Terry Mohajir thanked Hoyer "for his many years of service and contributions to not only our women’s basketball program, but also Arkansas State University."
Boyer was the conference Coach of the Year four times. He finishes his career at Arkansas State with a 333–287 overall record.
