Sully Says: Diamond Hogs carry me to social media win

I was a big winner over the weekend.

For two days, I led KATV in social media actions. I don't know the formula for deciding the social media leader, but I think it has to do with the number of reactions to your social media posts.

The Diamond Hogs carried me to victory!

All I did for two days was tweet about Razorback baseball. It was a blast! The games made for an entertaining time in the "Twittersphere."

My social media win was a monumental upset. It's just about impossible to beat Mr. KATV Weather, Todd Yakoubian, when there's even a cloud in the sky. There was rain in the forecast, and I took him down on back to back days. Todd has nearly 102,000 Twitter followers.

More evidence that interest in Razorback baseball in this state is at an all-time high.

The crowds at Baum for the regional were incredible. The atmosphere at 3 a.m. Monday was crazy. I'd be surprised if the atmosphere for playoff baseball was better at any other regional.

There was more evidence of growing Hog baseball fever Tuesday morning on the Buzz.

"What was he swinging at? Why did he take him out?" The Monday Night Quarterbacks were out for baseball.

Why are the Diamond Hogs so popular? They do just about everything right.

It starts with winning: 45 wins this season.

Baum Stadium is also a huge plus. I've never heard anyone complain about the Baum Stadium experience.

Star players: first, Andrew Benintendi, and now Chad Spanberger. His display of power at the SEC tourney was trending nationally on Twitter.

The homegrown Hogs. One of my tweets on Monday: "How about the Hog pitchers tonight? All four homegrown Hogs. Murphy - Rogers; Alberius - LR; Lee and Knight - Bryant."

I don't think I'm the only one who takes great pride in seeing the kids they watched play high school ball succeed for the Hogs.

It's a great feeling to be hanging on every pitch, especially when it's 2:30 in the morning, and I wasn't the only one. Just check my Twitter feed.
