Andrew Mobley joined the Channel 7 News team in October of 2022.
Prior to working at KATV, Andrew worked as a video journalist for The Sentinel Record in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
He graduated from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with a degree in Communication.
He spent the greater part of his childhood living in countries around Asia — China, Indonesia, Laos, and Taiwan — because of his father's job in the Foreign Service.
Andrew is half Chinese-Indonesian and admittedly can speak only enough of either nation's language to nearly get his order across to food vendors.
Coincidentally, Andrew graduated from high school at Wuhan Yangtze International School in Wuhan, China, the city in which the COVID-19 pandemic began.
Arkansas is Andrew's birth-state and the city of Sherwood is his (first) hometown and a source of great nostalgia.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with loved ones, working on his personal video and writing projects, drinking too much coffee, reading fictional and non-fiction mysteries, and exploring the beautiful state that is Arkansas. He particularly enjoys making pilgrimages to the Monster Mart in Fouke, Arkansas, home to the Fouke Monster, Arkansas' bigfoot.
Andrew is honored to be On Your Side.
