Cassandra Webb

Anchor/Reporter

Cassandra Webb is a Daybreak and Midday anchor for KATV.

She joined KATV in February 2023 and is proud to call Arkansas home again.

A south Texas native, Cassandra was born and raised in the small border town of Del Rio. From there, she headed to San Angelo, Texas where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Angelo State University. Soon after graduation, she met and married her husband, who is an active duty Air Force C-130 pilot.

Cassandra lived in central Arkansas previously from 2005-2012. It was during that time she served as a public school teacher and also received her Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Arkansas Little Rock.

Her husband’s Air Force career has given Cassandra the unique opportunity to cover news all over the country. Her television news career started at KTXS in Abilene, Texas and has spanned other regions including Georgia, Washington, D.C. and California.

Cassandra’s work in Sacramento on behalf of a family desperate for their loved one’s remains to return home from WWII earned her the prestigious Large Market Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Feature Reporting. She is the proud recipient of a second Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Writing, has won two Emmy Awards, as well as two Associated Press Broadcaster’s Awards for Public Service and Feature Reporting.

Cassandra and her husband have two young daughters and a Goldendoodle named Riggins. Cassandra donates her time and talents as a member of the Board of Directors for the Heart of Arkansas United Way.

In her free time, Cassandra has interests outside of the newsroom which include reading, sewing, enjoying the outdoors, binge-watching true crime shows, and calling the Hogs.
