Cayla Christian is honored to be joining the KATV team as a General Assignment Reporter.
Cayla is an Arkansas native, graduating from Bryant High School in 2014. She gained media experience through programs at both the University of Central Arkansas and Henderson State University where she graduated with a BA in Mass Media and a minor in Communications. While at HSU, she also held the position of Philanthropic Vice President for Alpha Xi Delta and was able to expand her volunteer work with multiple community collaborations.
Cayla is mostly known in Little Rock and surrounding areas for her community involvement through her singing, dancing, modeling, and acting background. She spent almost ten years performing with the Arkansas Repertory Theatre and is excited to have a new place to call home in downtown Little Rock at KATV.
The daughter of Dr. Stephen and Masako Christian, a pastor and principal, right here in Little Rock, Cayla is no stranger to public speaking and leadership.
From her mother being awarded “Outstanding Intern” at KATV in 1990 to Cayla's internship at the station in 2019. Now working full-time for the station, she believes her calling in life has brought her journalism destiny "full circle."
