Emma Allen

Emma Allen is a reporter and weekend producer for KATV. She joined Channel 7 in August 2022.

Emma is an Arkansas native from Helena-West Helena, also known as the Delta.

While in high school, Emma worked at a local radio station where she found her passion for all things broadcasting. She is a 2019 graduate of DeSoto School.

After high school, Emma attended Arkansas State University where she majored in multimedia journalism with an emphasis on broadcasting and got her minor in political science. While in college, Emma was a part of the women’s tennis team and was very involved with the radio and television stations at the school.

In 2022, she was awarded first place by the Arkansas College Media Association for television reporting. Emma was also awarded Miss Congeniality in the Miss Arkansas State University Scholarship Pageant her senior year.

She graduated college in three years and that summer got a broadcasting internship in Little Rock. Soon after the internship, she made her way to KATV.

Emma looks forward to continuing to report on the state she calls home.
